Intercooler cleaning

Just fitting mark H mod today,noticed bit of oily sludge at the bottom of the intercooler.
Not much but is it worth clening out.
What's the best thing to use if it's a good idea to clean?

I got most of mine out just by standing it up on its end and letting it run out

Use petroleum based degreaser and warm water. Rinse until only clear water comes out. Then dry it with pressured air or just let it drip a few hours.
