ECU and VAGCOM

Hi guys.

Right can anyone on here point me in the right direction to get the ECU plugged in properly to read Vagcom from it. It has been attempted before an we got no connection to the ECU at all.

Due to the boosting problem I am having at the moment It would be really handy to get a reading of VAGCOM or the blink codes if they are done via a different route.....

Any help here would be appreciated. I believe it is just one wire that is amis from talking to corey about it but he currently has got the drawing to hand of which one and where it should go.

The boost problem is driving me nuts so I really need to get this sorted and have a few days off next week to perhaps sort this wire, get it com'd and sort the problem once and for all.!!!

TGRIFF I may be poping up to borrow your MAF by the end of this week if that is okay.

My connectors only work in the reversed position, ie, try the two connectors opposite way around to the little grooves. Not white on black, black on white! Just turn the ******s 180 degrees.

If you're still stuck I have VAG-COM and a proper cable (that works) so I could meet up with you somewhere. My better half lives in Coalville so I'm often down your way.

cheers matey. I believe that it is the vagcom part of the ECU that isn't earthed or something along those lines.
It has been tried with a few cables now all to the same effect. No connection????

1st off - are you seeing +12V at the black OBD plug ?

sorry to bring this thread back up, about a year ago i bought a vag-com cable off ebay, due to having a boost problem too! and it wouldnt work either, i had 12v at the black plug and even went as far as cutting a obd2 plug off a corrado at the scrappy, ringing the vag-com cable thru and chucking it in paralleled off the std obd plugs, but still no cigar! anyone shed any light on this?
