New S2 owner needs a bit of help

some of you know its not bosting right so i pull the codes today

00518 throttle position sensor ( new one fitted)

Open or short to B+


00533 Idle Air Control Regulation

- Maximum adaptation exceeded

- Mimimum adaptation not reached

00519 Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor

- Signal too low

- Signal too high

- Control difference


00513 Engine Speed Sensor < i now this one gos when car is runing

how would i check the sensors?

i all so have a water leck coming from the frunt of the car not had time to look but i think its the water pump , frunt end of to check that out weekend job, also have a larg list of things to do

replace gear box (think i got one need to check part number so its not a 10v one)
new bumper (got one coming )
replace dash lights
get side mirros working
get frunt light washers working
cv joint NS
roof needs a spray and frunt wing and mirros ( can get this done at work on the cheap)
back tyre and 4 wheel track

im shore theres more lol , will get it up in the air at the weekend see what wee can see

00533 sounds like a Lamda probe issue.

MAP sensor might be the pipe to the ecu isnt connected properly or has a boost leak

good news , turn out to be a brockon wire on the back of the blug on the throttle position sensor , so its nock out the code 00518 and 00519 and sort the boost as well , all i need to do now is the water pump as its piss water out , getting there

just need to sort out 00533 , thanks greg s i will pop the lamda out and try it in my mates aby

my cus got it for £1500 got him self a right bargon there that cars runs sweet + i still get to see it and with a bit of luck drive it

right water pump done all seems good with the boost , but still geting 00533 which gives me a dead spot at 1500rpm , new ISV?
