Audi only wants to sell you the complete wastegate. I don't think there is a separate part number. However, tuners have other springs, e.g. SJM Autotechnik and 034 Motorsports, have stiffer springs. I am running a 1.9 Bar WG spring from 034 and am quite happy with the "snap" it provides on initial toe in on the throttle. However, you do need to watch and not over tighten the spring perch. Then the rate of boost rise is too fast for the ECU and you get a lot of bucking as the computer tries (and fails) to cope with the rapid boost rise. (IME)

Yeah - I've been told that the spring itself is not a serviceable item. However - if someone can provide details of the OEM spring ie: material, no. of coils, OD etc, then I could order up a bucketload ... anyone?

well, then i need to know if these springs are known to loose their stiffness after the years otherwise im ok.
The thing is that my remap is done with the original spring in cause the 034 1.9bar spring i bought overblew the overboost past 2.1bar which i didnt want,so we used the oem spring to get it to 1.75-1.8bar.However since i want to make sure everything is new,i wanted to get a new OEM spring just in case...

I havent done the tightening bolt thing yet on my wastegate as mine seems to have some kind of orange glue securing it and when i look at it from below(cap off) it seems that the whole thing is as one material not separating the bolt from the rest of the metal cap...so i dont want to fiddle with it for now.

Does somebody have a picture that compares the original S2 WG spring with a RS2 WG spring? I have done a rebuild to RS2 turbo, but still lack the proper boost values for the RS2 turbo. And yes I also did an injector, software, etc. swap to ADU specs. as well.

          cheers
