and now would like you very nice people to help me to transform my car
i am looking for around the 400bhp mark :mischeif:
as i understand and have been told that having an rs2 intercooler, turbo, injectors and EM i could be looking close to 380bhp is this correct or is there other items i need to consider any help would be grateful

p.s. sorry about not turning up to western RR i had a coil pack fail whilst on the way i was gutted

ok so the rs2 spec is tried and tested but i really like the look of the turbo thats mounted where the airfilter is
is it a hard conversion to do and what items would i need to do it ?
and would it benefit me in the long run if i decided to get more power in the future ?
its just at the minute i had a little blast down the road against an M reg subaru and i couldn't keep up with him there wasn't a lot in it but i was very disapointed
my car at the minute is standard !!!!
there are so many options that i could take eg like the rs2 spec but i believe that 400bhp would be the limit for the rs2 spec and if i decided to up the bhp a year or so later then i would then have to change the EM and turbo again making them surplus to requirements

I think the limit for the RS2 exhaust manifold and injectors is 420-450bhp. The GT3071 is a very popular turbo round here and I believe it should get you around 450bhp. So Scrub the RS2 turbo idea and get yourself a GT3071 and some new uprated conrods, then see how well the scooby does!! :mischeif:

Get a homefries first off if your car is a aby as that will improve the smile on your face for not alot of money seriously.

ok how much would the homefries set me back and what sort of increase could i expect
            from it ?

            you mention a GT3071 ?
would i still need the rs2 EM or could i get away with the standard one thats on the car ?

thanks for your help so far i need as much advice as possible due to my car coming off the road at the end of the month to carry out these mods

Homefries iirc is about £200 quid + P&P for 280bhp and 400 nm torque IIRC
              http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthr...ight=homefries - more info here

I'm still learning about the Gt3071 so not sure if that you can use it on the standard EM but would probably be restricted if you did.

I think you need to think of a budget first... that'll give you an idea of what you're aiming for. Consider where the car's at now as well.

You'll want to do brakes + suspension if you're going for a big power hike. And the exhuast. Factor that in - lots of choices...

                Turbo - lag vs. power

                How 'stock' should it look?

If you want a mutt's nuts 400bhp+, you can go for a 3" custom system, tubular EM, GT3071R, Big intercoole + customer X-member, reverse-inlet IM. Fit a 7A exhaust cam and rebuild with forged rods. It'll be wild.

But for a significantly lower price, you can go for IRO 300bhp with full boost from 2500rpm on stock internals, and still have a damn fun car... It'll keep up with the latest scooby's on a launch. Trust me!

Thats some good advice there, think the 3071 is the turbo of choice for most people not but a well set up rs2 kit would still work very well and there is an rs2 turbo on ebay at the moment

                        IRO - in region of....

                        I see it like this:

280bhp costs you about £250 for a homefry
350-400bhp costs you closer to £2500

As Ross says, choose your budget first then you can think about how you want to reach the power figure

Good luck, i'd just be happy with an RS2 setup if i had any more left to play with lol

How true that is. Had a very fast reliable 400bhp. Wnated more so now have over 530bhp, but the first set up would beat it anywhere around here for sure. Looking at what to do now and possibly may revert! You have been warned.
                          Cheers

my shocks were from dialynx and i think they were about £120 a corner without springs came within a week aswell i had ordered them from another company but they sent the wrong kit
also the springs are £150 for a set from dialynx

and i fitted them myself at home on a jack and stands and took about an hour a corner without airtools good fun lol

also can anybody put me in touch with the people i need to do the rs2 conversion
                            or anybody on here ?
have you guys got any rough prices for the parts required ?
i can get an exhaust made for £495 an thats a 3" straight through with a small back box twin 3" outlet which i thought was quite good i'm in the east midlands so if anybody recomends anywhere to get the parts that would be great as i would like to do the conversion myself not too keen of other people working on my car lol

Rs2 conversion? i.e. engine or suspension?

I asked about prices for the parts and was glad I was sitting down.

Ebay or classifieds on this forum or other forums for parts or word of mouth.
