    guys...fueling problems :S

Recently I have the problem that the engine is running extremely rich on gas! Mileage is a half than normal!!! At idle the engine can't afford the low rpm's and tries to turn off by it self cuz of the big amount of gasoline is drinking! What is happening with my NM fuel management?????? And the smell of unburned gas on the exh is very hard!

have a look at the lamda sensor that could cause the issues.

Vagcoms a program that will connect to the ecu and let you run output tests, monitor sensor readings, read/reset fault codes, and a bunch of other features. It’s a great piece of kit but expensive. As a bonus they recently added in generic OBD support so it will do basic read/reset of fault codes on loads of cars, not just VW/Audi stuff.

          Here a read here http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/index.html

You can also make your own error code reader using a jumper and LED. Info here -> http://www.20v.org/tools.htm#VAG1115 S2central has an ever better guide on how to use the diag connectors here -> http://www.s2central.net/blinkhow.html The three diag plugs on a 7A are just above the accelerator pedal attached to the bottom of the parcel shelf.

To take a wild guess i would say it’s the coolant temp sensor on the back of the cyl head, it’s used for the ECU only. From memory when they fail or disconnected the ECU thinks the engine is freezing cold and runs very rich as a result. To put it another way the ECU will never know the engine is up to normal running temp, it will run rich, lumpy, and won’t want to rev.

Faulty O2 sensor will also cause rich running. I found a bad O2 sensor will cause the engine to surge and hesitate on part throttle as it tries to regulate the fuel mixture.

Check the error codes and see what it gives out. If you get any write them down, then reset the ecu and go for a drive and see if they come back.
