Short story... WGFV has always been tight up against the back of the airbox rear cover, esp after "our" Silicone hose kit upgrade ( I was an early S2 customer ). I have subsequently modded the standard ABY airbox with another trumpet, same size and about 30mm lower right as you see it (RHD). In original form, removing the back airbox shrouding and (very recently) removing (my) custom built shrouding around the two inlets has transformed the cars performance (again) - totally against expectation/theory - more boost everywhere - especially at low revs!
Could it be the extra cooling over airbox/intake hoses/ turbo/exhaust?
Or - no sideways pressure on the WGFV ? - Its only cased in plastic after all...with a metal casing around the electrics....
