Coolant Fan switches off when the ignition is turned off.

After driving the car or sitting idling, if the radiator fan kicks in, if i turn the ignition off even if the fan has just kicked in, it stops the fan. If i turn the ignition on again the fan kicks in.

Am I right in thinking that the fan should keep on running the cool the engine down? Even if the ignition is off?

Would this show that the after run pump has given up the ghost , a relay or temp sender?

Mine is like that from what i've heard it needs the relay changed, I ain't looked into this because my cars away at present, there was a thread recently on audifans going into detail about it.

Ah just read the thread on Audifans. Hardly go on there, but looks like I need the relay as well...Any idea where to get one from?
