part numbers: breather hose and pcv

anybody know these part numbers for a 3B? dealer said there are different breather hoses. Wish I knew how to explain what they are. they sit just under the dizzy. breather hose is totally knackered and I could really do with them tomorrow for putting the engine back in. so i'm praying the dealer might have them. Or the breather hose at least.

    cheers

          Called Vagparts

          valve is £7.61 + vat
          assembly is £18.97 + vat
breather hose is £65.94 + vat. Still a silly price but a good 25% less that the dealer.

Or you could wait and see what the samco version that david (s2driveruk) and paul (s2central) come up with and it should last longer as well.

aha! Didn't know they were up to that. If I can find a decent used one as a temp i'll see about getting a pimped samco version later then. Just wish I had something today.
              cheers for that

This would be a great idea, but it is a very long draw out process.... it takes them long enough to make the existing hoses for which tooling is already made... they first have to make the tooling, test fit, and then produce...
I might be wrong, but I would suggest VAG parts, unless you can make the Newsh adaptor from something, and get some hydralic hose pipes to fit (I use them here, as it is oil resistant....)
You could also do away with it and do a catch tank if you want some bling in ya bay....
not done this myself... but food for thought...... and a little more work to do, because clearly you haven't enouigh on your plate already.....!

the newsh adapter eh? I must have a search for that. Sal mentioned a catch tank too so i'll need to look into that. I could just do with something to get me going for starters and then change the bits I need to later (catch tank etc).
I'm off to speak to my brother in law so see if he can fashion me one from teak or something.

                    Newsh adaptor

Hi, I made up my own adaptor following Newsh's pattern, saved some dosh, have a look at Newsh's idea here.

I'm looking into the catch tank option now but in the meantime I want to stick on a breather hose or Newsh style adaptor if I can get one. Once the car is running i'll be able to start going over it and changing a little here.. a little there.. a few more bhp here.... a modded bumper there... oh-oh.
