I currently run a turbosmart vent to atmosphere d/v which is not too bad and came from dialynx. I don't get no problems with the idle etc i'll try dig out the video of it going, unless dest still has a copy of it he can upload so you can see the sound.

Ive not got the videos any more, but do have a program to convert them so they can be uploaded easier if you want to send one over on msn.

As for DV's sounding chav, I have to disagree!
Most of the chavs round here either cant afford a car in the first place, or are still in their mums 5 door shopping car hand me down with lexarse lights and neons
Wont be a while until any of them can afford to run something that has a turbo anywhere near it!

If you want pure stealth keep with a recirculating throttle bypass valve (TBV)

If you want chavvy / wooshy noises of air being released between gears fit a TBV that dumps air out of the system - a dump valve (DV)

If you want an S1-esque noise, then simply remove the TBV or DV and bung up any pipes from whence it came. Then on big boost gear changes you'll get something like *that* S1 noise... Not quite unless running a monster turbo, but doing this you can expect to seriously shorten the life of the turbo... And if the compressor blades shatter in the middle of it all, then you can say cheerio to your engine internals. I'll bet Audi works team renewed the turbos for EVERY event.

I can sort of see a market for the hybrid TBV/DV item discussed here, but the manufacturer is missing a trick in the option to disable it entirely - then you'd have three options instead of two... But those companies aint that stupid as they'd soon have all these idiots on the phone complaining that the new fangled TBV/DV unit killed their new turbo after 1000 miles.

For that real S2 sound just disconnect the vacuum line from the DV. Don't expect the turbo to last too long though! Sounds wicked as I accidentally found out when I broke my 710N. Also, check that the DV is the correct way round, my Forge DV sounds different in different orientations.
