3B distance of the screw in wastegate???

    hi friends,

anyone knows wich is the distance of the screw in the wastegate cover in the S2 3B model with the factory stock??

one day a friend said me 1,4 cm,but i am not sure and here sure there are a lot of mechanical s2 3b masters who can know about that.

    thanks in advance

If you have a screw in your wastegate top compressing the spring then its been tempered with.
Usually the sign of cheap and cheerful tuning. Is there a bleed valve on the WGFV too?

From factory / stock there is no screw.

However the further down its screwed the more pressure on the spring and the longer it will take for your wastegate to open when coming on boost.

Most people on here will advise against this "mod"

    Good luck.

          Yes thats it

This is what a stock waste gate should look like:

If you have a bolt in there then that was done after the car left the factory to increase spring compression.

So i guess to answer your question regarding screw distance. First of all it depends on the length of the screw. As they are not a standard length.

Then it depends on whether or not your car is chipped and weather there are any other "modifications" to the boostware.

I think he means how far down should the original hex nut be set to. I.e. to return to factory settings.

Only thing i can think of is to disconnect the WGFV and keep adjusting until you get .4bar or whatever the stock figure is.

Its documented on here somewhere, i remember reading it a few years ago. There is a certain distance from the step of the perch to the inside of the wastagate cap for stock setting.

                Sorry Rocco,
                I misunderstood your question.

I think what your referring too, is the nut that is screwed on to the top of the wastegate Valve.

Sorry about that. Please ignore my other comments.

Hopefully someone here will know what the correct distance is.
