Testing MAF

Hi!

i have tested mine MAF today. I take test like there stands: http://s2central.net/ds_G70.html

And i get quite low voltage outputs:
-ignition on, engine off caa 1.1v
-idle caa 1.7v
-full throttle for quick time max caa 2.8v
Has anyone there make such test recently so we should compare voltage outputs.
i know that according to mine outputs i could change maf but i would like to be 100% sure!

i tried another one today but it is old too, with lower voltages....
i will buy new one from vagparts very soon

Valjo - your figures do sound low indeed according to that test which I found in the AAN/ABY diagnostic manuals. I can test mine again at the weekend for comparison - hopefully others can too.

engine off, ignition on 1.2V, idling 1.7V and short full throttle ~2.6V and still no boost cut out like the majority off the MAF sensor failure. The burn off is ok also.
Not sure what is the problem. Hope we get an answer.

Eng Off - 1.4v
Eng Idle - 2.7v
Throttle open 3v - 4.7v
Burn off test - OK

But I still have an Idle problem, and still cant track it down,

Guess its not the MAF though

what multimeter you use? should be faster reading? or i have bad MAF? i dont have new one and is very expensive only for a test.

btw for idle problem try cleaning ISV, check lambda, POT/idle switch .....
