Boost Problem

I am having a few problems with the boost on my RS2. When accelerating the car gets to 3,000 rpm and then it makes a loud whoosing noise which sounds like a boost leak and the car stutters and would probably stall if I didn’t change gear. My car is left hand drive and when I open my window the noise seems louder at my side which seems strange as all the turbo pipes are over the other side. The car has just been into the garage to get the radiator replaced and I just wondered if there are any pipes near the radiator which could have been disturbed as the car never had the problem when it went in.
I disconnected the wastegate frequency valve as I had a similar problem on my S2 and this caused the car to run all the way through the rev range but had no boost at all.
Also does anyone have a diagram with all the locations of the pipes so that I can make sure I have checked them all.

sounds like an boost cutout. Clean the MAF sensor conector and check again.

Check the short intercooler to cross member pipe or mark H mod, as its refered to on hear.

I have cleaned the MAF and tried the car again and it did not make a difference. The intercooler was my first idea. Jacked up the car and checked the intercooler and the pipe is attached and has no cuts on it.

Check the vacuum hoses at the back of the inlet manifold probably perished with heat

Worth checking the DV &/or hoses have not died and is letting boost loose to atmosphere as max comes in @3000rpm ish.

Took the bumper off and ordered the Mark H mod. Fitted this and the car feels exactly the same.

Whilst there I checked all the other hoses and tightened them up just in case.

What else can I look for as I am pulling my hair out about this. The car is still losing bost at 3,000rpm and then the car wants to stall.

check the vaccum hoses.probably there one broken or loose.also if possible read the fault codes,it could read that there is a mixture adaptation.this could give us a hint.i had a similar problem and one of the vaccum hoses out of the IM was cut wide open.
