Got the inlet pipe off and cleaned up, thought Id take the time to respray it matt black too while Im waiting!
Got rid of all the scratches

Well, it turns out that it CAN be something else!
I got the loom from 034, new 1.8T coils, and was just at the last hurdle of fitting them and had to remove the intake pipe that goes to the throttle body to get access to the ground point on the back of the head, upon carefully removing it, the hose between the pipe and TB literally fell in half!

So, new black silicon one ordered from Roose, should be here tomorrow...

Right, a step forward has been made, I took the plunge and ordered the 034 wiring loom for 1.8 coils

So it can now sit and be miserable on the drive until that comes

Ive been given 4 1.8 coils, and have only had to buy one more to go with them, so soon as the loom is here, it should be working properly at last!!

I have just realised I havent got any of the connectors needed to create the new loom for the 1.8 coils, so wont be able to fit them tomorrow
