3B Cambelt Change

Hi Guys

I need to do the cambelt on my S2 Coupe with a 3B engine. I have no record of when it was last done so better to be safe than sorry!

Just need to know whether it has any sort of tensioner as VAGPARTS dont seem to list one and I cant see one on ETKA. I was just gonna replace the cambelt, waterpump and all the auxilary belts. Anything else I should change while i'm at it?

Just need the crank lock tool 2084. You will need a new idler roller, a new h20 pump and a cam and crank seal if you choose to replace them along with a new belt.

On a 3B the belt is tensioned by rotating the water pump. It will make sense when you pull it apart.

I would also change the crank sprocket they are prone to cracking and only cost circa £20 from memory..
