Assistance?

Guys, how easy is it to change a water pump on a 1999 Audi A3 1.9 D? Is it an engine out job or is it accessable?

I want to stop a mate getting ripped off.

out job, its just the same as changing the timing belt..

you can do job with engine in place

finky but possible with engine support on front wings
or support engine on bell housing when the right side( over cambelt) mounting is removed
mounting is a pian .............but many cam belts/water pump govvy jobs are done

advise do cambelt and tensioner/roller replacement at same time......if old

check/replace v belts/polly belts too if required
