My block is an AAN and i have an RR sump on it which i think is the same as a 3b and ABY. The oil return from the turbo goes to the block on a ANN so all sumps fit worst case you may need to blank of the oil return in the auxiliary part of the sump.

The sump is made of two pieces, the extension is what differs, one has an oil return for AC cars, the other dosent as the return connects to the block. Hes a pic of an engine with both to confuse the hell out of you

My ABY engine has the return on the block, sump extension is identical to the one on my 7A with no oil return port, sump part number is 599E.

Didnt know the AAN was different, i have one too so i'll check them side by side over the weekend.

I have an AAN block in my 3b,it has my old 3b sump on it so they do fit, but you must use the 3b oil pickup, which is different, as is the dip stick and holder, which is a problem as the 3b holder is a smaller diameter.

                Dean,
If you want an AAN sump, I have one.
                Does that make it easier?
