    Water pump replacement

See coolant leak. Can anyone confirm if the water pump can be replaced with the cam belt in situ ? Any BTDTs welcome ! I have already been into the engine bay to replace the hoses under the PAS pump. Thanks for your help. Cheers James.

I did the cam belt replacement myself already a couple of times on the S2, and after having seen the following link, I found the job to be pretty good explained (I already have suggested this link some times before) including the part reguarding water pump replacement:

Easy, affordable options for you to obtain the domain you want. Safe and secure shopping.

The car in the link is a S4, but engine is basically the same.
About your question, NO! you need to take cam belt off the WP pulley loosening cam belt tensioner(cam belt drives the WP). You are not forced to change cam belt, but item cost is relatively low (in Italy around 50 Euros) and so far with the job....I would suggest you replace it anyway.
