I've done a FULL boost check on it including breather, vacuum pipes etc. (plug MAF hose up and put an air line on to test).

I too thin it sounds like sopmething has worked loose. Might just rebuild the thing and see what happens

I'll just have to keep checking...

Cheers for the support, I need it at the mo... can't wait for it to be all sorted with 3B flywheel and Milltek DP! Got to be 300bhp by then All seems a long way away but it'll keep me going fo now. As long as it's working for Donington Park then I'll be a happy boy.

Check the timing again... Could the belt have slipped ?

Its that or something real stupid - check all the engine sensor connections just in case. Or ground connections as has been said already.

Pull fault codes if you can - not always present though.

What about the vac/boost line onto the FPR - is that OK ? If it ran OK after rebuilding it, then it smells like something has worked loose or been accidentally diss'd since. Bit weird alright.

Car was driving fine on Sunday after I finished, problem started on Monday and then got progressively worse until yesterday when I couldn't drive it at all!

I'll doble check these tonight in case I've missed one or a bolt has come loose.

Nothing to do with it cutting out but did you re-torque the arp head bolts after heat cycling ?
Will check grounds tonight. Have not had a chance to re-check the ARPs, will get on it once the car is running again. Cheers for the tip-off.

Will have to have a look although the fact that it idles indicates that there is at leas some fuel pressure...

No fuel pressure! You test that?
    Hope this helps!

started a topic I've broken my car!

    I've broken my car!

    Oh dear...

Right, did the head gasket, cambelt etc. etc. last weekend, got it running Sunday and all was pukka. On Monday the car started cutting out when accelerating in 1st and then over the course of Tuesday the problem got worse and no it stalls when trying to pull away and randomly cuts idle.

I've tried a spare MAF, speed sensor and crank sensor with no joy. I've pulled codes with nothing logged, I've checked all the plugs I can get my hands on, again, nothing.

Full boost leak test of everything did not highlight anything.

The car idles fine and revs ok when stationary but when trying to pull away it stalls and when moving it cuts under anything but the lightest acceleration. It starts first time so would not indicate a faulty hall centre.

Moral o the story, if it ain't broke don't f'ing fix it!

    Any suggestions welcome.
