    Mystery boost upgrade!

Been running my Homefry for about 7 months or so, boosting up to 1.4 bar with no problems (after sorting out a split hose).
Anyway, a couple of months back, I took the S2 on a long motorway trip so thought I'b save money and fill up with normal 95Ron Shell instead of the good stuff
As soon as I did it, I couldn't get over 1.2 bar of boost - which was fine, the lower octane rating was limitibg the boost. So 2 tank fulls of 95 Ron later, I thought I'd go back to the good stuff fully expecting to see 1.4 bar again.....I was wrong...still 1.2 bar. 2 tank fulls of Optimax later - still 1.2 bar. I even tried 99 Ron Tesco to get the damn thing to boost - all to no avail....
Anyway - I've been stuck with 1.2 bar for a while now and was convinced I had a boost leak (no ecu faults). I even did the Rolling road day on the Wirral at 1.2 bar and made 271 bhp 315 ft/lb.
Anyway, ran the car nearly dry yesterday, filled up with Optimax - thought nothing about it, until 15 minutes later when I pulled out onto a main road and floored it.
****** me, she took off like a scalded cat! I looked down and had 1.5 bar boost!!!
Car now flies and feels like its got at least another 20, if not 30 bhp - So I need to get back on them damn rollers!!!
Anyone else experienced this? I'm wondering if my knock sensor(s) are playing up? Can they give fals readings or are they either working or not working?

Knock sensors will limit the boost to a lot less than 1.2bar.
Shame on you for using 95 RON fuel. I had to put 95 RON in my car once, but I didn't go anywhere near WOT.

Just disconnect your battery(2 min) next time which will reset ecu and that should put you back to normal i think

Boost leak now fixed and a new IC (not FMIC yet) fitted. So bring it on. Probably won't be blowing flames at MGs this time!!
