I'v read about Turbo Dynamics new generation turbo : MD240.

    Spooling up from 1800-2000RPM
    Delivering 2.1 BAR at 2800RPM till 6700RPM
    Around 450HP.

It was tested on COSSIE and produced 428HP and 513Nm. With 2.1 BAR on 7000RPM.

Any gurus , maybe should take a look ?

What experts wrote about it is that on first look they didn't believe taht such a small cold side turbo could deliver something more that 350HP on high RPMS , but .... they were amazed.
    Vadim.

New engine (mechanical PKM head) , Alcon 332mm brakes , Pauter rods , Mahle pistons, GT30R , kw v2 sucpension , new exhaust. 608HP. For SALE !

Mihnea I know boost alone doesn't make the Hp, but there still are some limits on how much Hp you can get at a given boost.

What I mean is let's say you find the way to raise VE to 100% or even, using an excellently designed resonating inlet, 110%. and lets say you have the finest IC in the world having 100% efficiency as well.

Then from a NA 2.2L @ 7000 rpm with the above VE it's not resonably possible to go much over 200 Hp, lets say 220.
This means having 0.7 bar boost @ 7000 rpm with the above effieciencyes (by far out of real numbers for our engines) you might get 374 Hp.

how in the hell did you get 450 Hp @ 7000 rpm with 0.7 bar boost?

Just as an example, the S2R from France (again, not PhilS2R's car)has put out approximately 450 crank HP with a large Garrett on just the stock RS2 boost and ignition advance, with an M5 MAF and larger than RS2 injectors.

The real figure was 307 HP at the wheels around 7000 RPM, we have no graph to show if there was more before that or not, but given the real tiny fan that we were using (a small fan that only simulates 15km/h or so), I would say around 450 crank sounds realistic.

So this was running around 0.7 Bar at 7000 RPM. We'll see how much HP this translates into with 1.45 at 7000 and 1.7 at 6500...

      Cheers,

      Mihnea
