A decent chip or remap should be able to let the car pull like a ba**ard without feckin around with mechanical boost.

I had some Digitec chips installed by QRS a few years ago. Didn't have any messing of the wastegate.

My car (95 aby), Milltek catback, RS2 intercooler;
My bro's car (95 aby), 100% stock.

Side by side at 50mph, 4th gear and floor it, he pulled away by a huge margin and I mean a HUGE amount (much to his glee) His car generally dry shafted mine everywhere.
I'm showing 23psi boost, he's showing stock.
Both cars on stock maps and mine "just" say pipped his in a drag from standstill or in gear.

What's that tell you??? Digitec = complete pants.

Return wastegate to standard spring tension, junk the chips and get some decent ones, be it homefry, generic MRC, MRC on the fly remap, nero or MTM (I've tried nero, MTM and MRC generic, can't tell em apart really)

[And I'm not ripping into Tim here, he's a good friend, just his faith in those chips is missplaced somewhat.....and Tim doesn't work for QRS anymore]

ok interesting. mine has 3 inch turbo back no cat just 1 rear silencer. this is my 3rd s2 and ive had nero chips and homefry before and this pulls like fek. i prob will replace just for peace of mind,

you can swap your ecu and wastegate cap for the one in the coupe if you want. i can also send the headrests at the same time.
