    7a Inlet options

Just curious would it be possible to put a reverse inlet on a 20v to remove the inlet from running over the engine?

Only problems I can see is:

re-routing the pipe/wires and throttle cable/body to the front
finding a way of putting the pipework from the psp side round to the airbox.

Just was curious about it and talking to callam and a few other about it tonight for on alex's 20v.

Think the answer will be a big, NOOOOOOOOOO, bad boy for thinking that.

Supposed to be a tuned inlet tract to help with torque at lower revs, pah, where!!!

Like to see the result myself if you do try.

    You want carbs really.

      Tuned for torque

Five carbs, or throttle bodys with a standalone ecu would be interesting. There was a guy on audifans did a similar job with a 4cyl motor.

I always wanted to try a short run manifold, i.e. stick a 3B or ABY manifold on and see what it goes like.

Actually I didn't think of an aby etc manifold that would be very intersting especially getting a before or after result from a RR.

            7A options

Have a Guy in Club Audi who has a 20V running with K-jetronic and getting 200bhp from an otherwise standard engine, so why bother with the complication of carbs? Simplest option is to fit the larger airmass meter to remove the only resriction in the standard setup and get some bigger multijet injectors from 034Efi and get a piggy back ecu as I did and which before anyone asks it has already been snatched up by Carl as soon as my 7A went for parts?!
