    Camshaft broken

I got a ADU cam for free, but it's broken at the end.
I have a machine shop available so it no problem making a new end.
Problem is knowing where to cut the woodruff key.
any ideas of where to measure out from a rs2 cam that is in one piece?

    .

this is of a stock 3B cam
Maybe there degress of the groves can be used?
There are 25 tooths, and 9 from the groove to the woodruff key, that makes it 129.6 degrees.
Can someone count if it is 5 on a rs2 cam also?

EDIT: after some quick measuring, the tooths does not line up with either the groover or the woodruff

I've got a cam pulley at home out of my Mates car. it left a hole in his bonnet after the cam snapped!! 15 minutes after calling for me to take me out for a spin in his dads brand new car (I was with a girlfriend at the time luckily) he hit a house at 120+mph. Left marks 2.4m high on the house and flattened Vauxhall Cavilier to the bottom of the windows. They found the pulley in the rear garden of a nearby house in the greenhouse of all places. Engine ended up 50 metres in front of the car in the middle of the road. I kept the cam pulley as a momento of what I was nearly a victim of. My mate had to be cut out of the car and has metal plates in his ankle now due to the damage that the pedals did to his bones. 3 people walked out of the car. Amazing stuff. Had tere been 5 in the car there things could have been even worse!! Citreon Xantias are mega strong cars...absolutely amazing how intact the passenger compatment was and a testament to the cars composite contruction. Fire brigade said that if it wasn't a diesel the car would have exploded. Shame it was his suspension going nuts after taking off at high speed that caused the accident though (it was a mad mooment for my mate to be driving in such a way, showing off methinks!!).

Is it worth repairing your cam? I know it is from an ADU but what about a 7A one instead. Would you trust your own repair not to fail on you in that high stress application?

Good luck mate. I hope you get it sorted.
