    which boost controller

i am about to start fettling with engine of my 1990 100 avant 2.2 10v turbo and would appreciate some assistance on parts to buy,

starting with a boost controller, turbo timer and ecu upgrade, so if anyone knows which to buy, i'd appreciate some guidance,

also, i've been trying to find an induction kit with no joy, so if someone could point me in the right direction, i'd also appreciate this too.

What ecu was used with these cars? Some form of motronic? Generally, the motronic system controls the boost. So a boost control should best be left to Jap crap

Turbo timer if you like but its a little boy racerish and i would guess you will have to fabricate some sort of pipe work to replace the standard air box with

Some pictures would be very cool though Mr Fox

Boost controller - jamo has had some experience with one of these iirc he removed it not sure why but might be worth contacting him.

Turbo timer, tbh I had one but didn't fit it more hassle than is worth about the best upgrade is the aux water pump an s2 has if you don't have it.

Ecu - try dialynx they should be able to sort out

Induction kit - doubt you will get a cone and if so will loose you power thru heat soak. You could try to open up the inlet trumpet with a bigger one as this will be better.

The system on 10v cars is from Hitachi it does not control fuel or boost.

Its virtually untunable in any real sense. you can remove the boost protection limit which will allow you to raise the boost, with a stronger spring, to about 1.1 - 1.2 bar.

You can also raise the CO to about 2.5% at tick-over which from memory helps all the way through the rev range this will get you to about 240bhp.

They simply don't fuel enough, I have tried every which way possible sixth injector etc, the best results were with an after market management system ie control of fuel and ignition. I achieved about 320BHP with this system.

I gave up after that and fitted a 20v with full Motronic the difference is night and day.
