    Tried BP 102 last night

Had to go get the garage operator to come out to the pump and put a activation code in before i could get an of the gogo juice. £2.42 a litre not cheap!!!!! just put a few litres in for the way home from Edinburgh.

The car in question was my 1.8T A4.

2 differences i noticed one the engine pulled smoother in higher revs and the smell when in town. I would say stick to the V-power just the same results as far as i can see. and alot cheaper.

What year is your A4? The problem with using fuel like that is that it will take your ECU a while to adapt to it, i.e. at least a tank of it if not a couple of tanks, and that's an expensive job! I think the best results with fuel like that can only be got from heavily modified turbo'd cars.

The car did feel smoother and covered about 50miles last night. Its a B5 on a 96.
only mods is 2.5" system no cat from turbo back.
Self learn does it take that long???????

What about when ECU has been cleared of codes and there is still a problem (Which flashes another code up) dont take that long surely timing will alter at a similar rate.

I would just use Vpower with some tolulene if i want higher Octane.

Use it on the strip in a mates Evo 6 and Mk2 Astra turbo. With good results!!!! Using wideband lambda for A/F ratio.

Don't know for sure but I've always been told at least a tank for the ECU to sort itself out!

I've heard that that stuff goes "off" rather quickly, and because it sells so slowly (obviously due to the high price) that the quality of what you get in the tank can be hugely variable.

Self-learning adaptation takes a fair while; I've had by B6 A4 V6 pink with Optimax (allegedly 99Octane so what was going on there!), so it does need quite a lot of fuel and time through it to cope it would seem.

2.42/litre---how the hell can they justify that, its petrol, cracked from oil exactly the same way as the 95 you get, just much better in purity.

Mind you it is miles further than the bog water we run on in Oz. 95 is premium, 91 is norm--in a few rare places you get ultimate or optimax, i just get 95 and use octane booster.
