    ABY versus 3B Ecu pinout

    Hello!
I whant to change the ecu from 3B to AAN and use the 3B loom.
I have gathered some info about this swap but i saw some diferences between the S2 Central and SJM sites.
Pins1 from ABY at 1 site is for output stage ignition coil nr.1 and at the other is for nr.3
    same about the pin nr.23
Somebody knows exactly wich is wich?
And i noticed that between the 3B and ABY the RPM and Reference sensors are in the oposite pins. This is right?
    Thank You verry much!
    All the best!

The information I have from Tommy's site says:

    Pin 1 - POS #1
    Pin 2 - POS #2
    Pin 20 - POS #4
    Pin 21 - POS #5
    Pin 23 - POS #3

My info comes from mixture of Audi literature from USA (AAN) and Europe sources. I'll check my site for typos - but there are some mistakes on the factory info.

I whanted to ask.. maibe is a diference between AAn and ABY?
Or just a mistake in the books. Anihow is not so important... We can change the pins from there iff the engine runs in 3 cilinders..
About the pins from AC? You know something? Please!
          All the best!

Can anyone confirm that pin 37 is the same on the 3B/ABY/AAN/ADU? The descriptions on s2central are quite different.

Paul, could you also update the picture used for the ABY pin-out overview, the current one is the same as the 3B.

                  Thanks Eugen. We're almost there.

I'll be pretty nervous firing the engine up for the first time. Especially as I've lost my spare ECU.

My problem with the starting will be that i will not have a basic map for the hardware i will use.
So dont know how to. But iff will have spark and fuel...Everything is ok with the wires...no?

I can't see that being a problem either.

When you see smoke coming from your glovebox, you know you have done something wrong.

I don't have a basic map either. 3B injectors/7A FPR/ADU SW could be an interesting combination for a start.

I think that the smoke will give s....it about my basic map.
