    Glow-plug/ coldstart

I am having Problems with my Glow plug/cold start on my 5 cld 2.5 tdi A6
AAT engine, the problem is that the Glowplug will only work if the weather is very cold
& left over-night.If I go to work the Glowplug will not work when I leave to go home,
When I had A new Cam-belt fitted the dealer checked the wiring all ok,fitted new temp
sender unit, have found that if I take plug [2wire] of the top of the unit the glowplug works and the car starts as it should. Am thinking of putting a switch in circuit.Dealer quoted me £2000 for new ECU, if I can get another used Ecu do I have to take to dealer to be programed, or can I just fit and run

iff i remember right, the signal from the temp sensor goes in an relay wich controls the time for the glow plugs.

      Glowplugs

Hi Pirvu Eugen ,thanks but I have fitted a new relay. The same thing hapens, but if I unplug the sensor the Glowplugs work as they should ,so I am thinking of fitting a switch in the sensor wiring.

I think is a loose conection somwere between the sensor and relay.
        Is something about resistance.
