More power wanted

Hi All,

Was thinking about a GT3071 for the RS2. Can anyone advise on what other upgrades are required to maintain reliability and the expected power over and above the MRC custom remap i have. I am NOT wanting to do anything to the block at present, if at all. I have been advised that upto 400bhp is safe on stock rods etc??!! I guess 380/390 would be a target for me?

Dan,
a friend of mine recently bought some Gt3071R equipment from 034 in order to make his RS2 project.
He got the same turbo as i did (.063A/R),water/oil lines and gaskets.
He got the green injectors and the 044 bosch motorsport fuel pump
Also he will have a larger diameter downpipe(probably 80mm) and larger intercooler as well(probably same as mine)
I would reckon these things necessary if safety is first as the larger intercooler has made me quite nice IATs!!
more things you can get is the 7A exhaust cam.
After all this a remap and the 400hp mark is yours!

thanks Papvas... thought you might have some advice as you've recently prepared yours. Just finding that the remap is fantastic but we all want a bit more.....
