    Braided fuel lines

Has any one looked into braided lines from the tank forward? I did not get the chance today to look under the car and refresh my memory of what is there but i did have a look in the family album.

Now this has left me with a few questions.

:End fittings to the Bosch FPR are M12 and M14?

:Using a after market fuel filter or two?

:The expansion chamber shown on the drawing, this is to stop fuel escaping when the tank in very full or on a hot day when the tank starts to expand with the heat?

    :3 lines on the system
    1.supply
    2.return
    3.breather to carbon canister?

So in reality NO.3 could be exited from the rear of the car and be no real problem?

I wondered about this as mine are pretty rust and will need doing before too long, but never really got further than thinking about it lol.

Is there the makings of a group buy here to bring the cost down? Particularly if they'd need to be made up. I'd definitely be interested ! I don't fancy routing the breather to the rear though .

                          Oh ****

Well i took mine of today so that i could take the fittings off and make a mock braied set up.

                          Well what a shock

There were two leaks one towards the gear box tunnel and one before the fuel filter. Also the union connections at the fuel tank were pretty tatty to.. This is only came visable when i slacked off the brackets that hold the rails to the car

                          Look away if you must
