What Headgasket with Big Bore Block ?

I've Rebored to 82.5mm.
The standard RS2 Spec metal head gasket is the same bore.
My Mechanic is not too happy using a head gasket with same bore as the block.
He says it should be overbored at least half a millimeter. Else it will lead to headgasket failure ....

Any experience with this problem ?

know they drive alot with those in norway, with rs2 gasket.
