Hi mates! My NM engine died yesterday, it started to leak the whole oil from the pan... I don't know how it just started to leak...I haven't go over water in the last 2 months and have not go over any road with such a big rock and broke the oil pan... NO IDEA
but is killing me this situation... well...today I decided to start the project of the AAN and UrS4 tranny.
Some problems and doubts that I need to get resolved ASAP:
1) Is it a must to take out the crankshaft pulley for the timing belt change? If YES, where could I get the locking tool?
2) My AAN's has 102K miles on it and before the UrS4 was crushed I saw that the old owner was using the Castrol TXT fully synthetic oil...should I use that synt oil or with that mileage or can I go for the blended oil type?
3) Do I need to make any adapter for the UrS4 tranny to my 90' Coupe Quattro? Or engine?
4) If I use the original AAN intake manifold, will I have to modify the radiator position?
Thanks in advance! I hope having some anwers soon!
P.S.: I have my stock NM's camshaft that have a slight less overlap and lift than the 7A's cams... could I use them in my AAN's or it's better to stay with the stock AAN?
