Thats how I see it - be interesting to see what GT500 findings are with new FPR - would like to confirm those pressure readings. Weirdly the RS2 FPR is actually slightly lower than ABY by about 0.2bar or thereabouts - really dunno why they changed to that for such a small difference.

        Just fitted fpr,
cleared codes and drove home, and..........................its come straight back!!!!
I cannot think of anything else that can cause this sodding code.
It does run super smooth now, was allways hunting ever so slightly on tick over.
So pleased how it runs, just abit stumpped at how to get rid of 561!

I will retest the fuel pressure when I get a minute.

have you thought of the possibility that either the lamda or the MAF although replaced, can still be bad?

When changed the MAF I kept the old one, I get the same code with both,
Lamda, I haven't had any trouble with them before, my ur has had two in ten years, only due on mileage, no faults.
I suppose the rich mixture could have shafted the new one,,
I think I will steal the one off the ur, and try that, at least that rules that out.
            Thanks for the suggestions.

Frustrating. I have wondered about my fuel consumption for a while but the code has only appeared in the last 6 months. I will hold off the FPR unless you clear the code with the lambda switch. My lamda, changed 6 months ago showed clear evidence of oil contamination which may have been due to overfueling 'bore washing' oil out ???
              Keep us posted

Oh & I will re check my codes as I have replaced the MAF to TURBO hose which could be related (boost leak)

                Update,
Tested the fuel pressure today with new fpr, 3.8 bar on tick over .
So that has to help with the problem.
Removed the lambda and its a nice whiteish brown, looks bang on mixture.
My next thought is the altitude sensor, if its reading wrong and thinks its lower than it is it would shove more fuel in.
Vagcom can display the reading so i will compare the ur and the RS2.
Fault does now say its intermitant, slight change.

Having very recently swapped to new OEM MAF and Lambda, checked fault codes this morning and found 561...

Car seems to be running just fine however and having read GT500 and Alg posts above wondered whether it's possible that either new MAF or Lambda could be the cause of the car showing these codes.

I mean 3 cars, all with new MAF and Lambda now showing code 561. I know there was no 561 code prior to the new MAF/Lambda combo.... Just wondering....

HKS dump valve. (does not leak air, only when its suposed to do).
Had the code before fitting it....
Not had chance to test the altitude sensor yet..
And remember my 561 was there before fitting maf, lambda, mfts, fpr.

                          code 561

I had this code for several years now. Another question do you have an increased fuel consumption like I had? Finally to the already mentioned sensors I replaced the valves (034 906 283 K and 034 129 101 B, one of them is probably N75 and the other I don't know the name of it) at the bottom of the engine on the right side of the engine when you stand in front of the car. It was very "muddy" becaus I drive it short distance too often. Now the error is gone and fuel consumption dropped ~30%.

Have just remembered, that I briefly disconnected the MAF whilst car was running (just to see the effect on tickover...) and think that is what caused the 561 code to appear.

Not changed anything for the last 400 miles and its gone! I checked the altitued sensor and it was about 5 millibars different to my UR, so I would say its ok.
                              Getting more mpg now.
my biggest help was the new fpr.
