    82mm headgasket on 82.5mm bore?

i'm in the process of rebuilding the engine in my ABY coupe, im fitting 82.5mm JE pistons. i have been told its ok to use the stock steel gasket which is 82mm

i'm not convinced on this due to it being smaller diameter than the pistons
    anybody BTDT?

    cheers

    Standard pistons are 81mm.

7A engines use 82.5mm pistons - that's probably the gasket you need

7a Gasket is not a metal HG.

This is what i did to make the 82mm HG work on a 82.5mm Bore..
