034 High output coil kit problem owners please read

Brought one of these kits from Correy about 9 months ago.
Had problems with a broken pin just before Christmas which Correy replaced no problem, I put it down to one of those things.

On Friday car developed a miss fire under load, got her in the garage and had a play.
Found another broken pin and a burnt out pin also the connectors appear oxidised.

Contacted Correy and Javid at 034. It appears there was an error in manufacturing on the early harnesses that slipped the net.

Correy was unaware of this and will be contacting all those with these kits to make sure harnesses are checked/replaced.

Correy and Javid have been bang on sorting this out both returning speedy responses to emails and offering to replace the coils and harness.

I still stand by this kit and would recommend it as before these problems started it performed better than the standard set up.

Many thanks to Javid and Correy for sorting this so quickly

Purchased a set through Quattronics before christmas, not sure what was the faulty on them but the car missed and stuttered straight after fitting them.
      Hope they've sorted the problem.
Sent them back and still awaiting replacements.

        034 Ignition conversion

I already had a slight miss-fire before I changed the coil packs to the 034 M’Sport high output versions. I have not noticed any deterioration since I started using the car in October last year, although I bought the kit at the end of July.

I will look through all the kit this weekend to see if there is any change occurred in the ignition system.

        Thanks for the information.

Andy: I wonder if its a good idea to bundle those high tension leads together the way you have (with zip ties). I would have thought that it would be better to separate the leads with plastic spacers. To me, bundling them together is just asking for a problem (spark jump through a thin bit of the insulation, etc.)

          Just a thought.
