aan engine stopped started and stopped for good.. help:)

Heres the thing, recently my audi 80 with an 96 aan engine and a s2 aby engine harness started to stall. Like it didn't get fuel or something. It got worse with time, but i couldn't find a pattern. It didn't matter if the engine barely was running 20km\h on 1500rpm or if it had full boost on 7000rpm... sometimes it worked sometimes you hoped to die

I stopped to gas up and when i came back to start, it was no go... waited 20 mins and it fired... but stopped after a couple of kilometers. Then it wouldn't start.

I kind of thaugth\hoped it was the hall sensor, so i changed that but then it came a buzzing sound from the brain, and a fuse on the mototronic harness broke. It is a blue(15) fuse in a beige socket.. anyone who knows what it is for? The fuse brakes when i turn the ignition on. I removed the brain, and the fuse didn't brake..

My thaugths; F * * K ME THE BRAINS BROKEN...

So if anyone has any suggestions i am very happy to hear them..

    Tommy

Knackered fuel pump for running issue?

Short to the body for fuse issue.

Check the ground connections for the ECU. I had a buzzing ECU a few months ago and my car intermittently cut out. Turned out that I hadn't tightened up the bolts enough and they'd vibrated loose. Sounds very simillar to my problem. Good luck.

i thougt so to, but the ecu i grounded trough the harness rigth? and that bolt is good.. Your'e buzzing noise, was it like a little electric eninge? did any fuse brake?

No fuses went, buzzing sounded like the buzzers from school. Check all the grounds including coil packs, the wiring can break where it exits the coil cover.

Noisy and knackered fuel pump? Where is the buzzing coming from?

from the brain... i coul feel itwhen i touched it... i heard that there is a relay in there that can do that..

haven't gotten around to testing the fuel pump yet... since the fuse seems to me to be more important..?

can the fuelpump start to go bad in a way that will give these symptoms?

poor kontacts tend to drag more amps ....so maibe!
good think will be to change the relay with a new one...
                    Hope this helps!

From the schematics looks like the fuse wich is burning is from the injectors...and the power comes from the fuel pump relay..

What if you take the fuelpump relay off and turn the key, does the fuse blow?

Or you could disconnect the power to the fuel pump and try after that.
Now quattro less, my urs4 stolen 13.8
