    034 Race N75

Does anybody know what the OEM p/n is for the 034 Race N75 valve? Or if it really is an aftermarket N75 valve, where one could be sourced from within Europe? I might want one quickly.

I'm sure it's already been on the forum, but I can't find it .

I thought that this is just a 3B J valve for the 1.8T boys?

I know they sometimes use S2 N75s to get more agressive boost without having a remap, but I thought the 034 "Race" was an uprated version for S2s. I'm sure I've read a thread about how much S2 N75s (and alternatives) can hold before they start to leak boost.

So what's the best one to use on a high boost S2, given that there's a few reports on the forum that the stock one doesn't last long?

That's a J (in there somewhere amongst all those expensive fixing) isn't it?

What sort of boost do you think you'll be pushing to hit 600bhp?

You might want to read this article:

                  http://forums.audiworld.com/s4s6/msgs/49283.phtml

If you check in ETKA ("Kate, the little red head girl") she will tell you that:

                  034 906 283 J = stock 3B (in 200 20v and S2)
                  034 906 283 H = stock AAN (UrS4 and UrS6)
                  034 906 283 K = S2 ABY and RS2 ADU

Reference ACOQ, 1989, MG 1, SG 33, Illustration 133-69, etc.

My guess is the "race" N75 = the K valve.

I've already read that article and it was an informative read, but thanks for the link anyway .

There's other threads that suggest maybe "race" is just the K variant too, but nothing firm. I reckon I'll go with K if I have to and just see what happens.

Based on the fact that the description mentions "H" I would take the logical step that it might be the "034 906 283 H" part number

I thought I'd be clever and try the H valve on my 3b. Turns out the valve has the socket for the cable the other way around as opposed to the old one I had, thus forcing me to put the connector very close to the manifold shield. Can't be a good thing.

I've gone for "K" and will probably see it as a consumable item to be changed with oil.
