Spark plug gap - F5DPOR BOSCH PLATIN

    Hi,

im about to fit another set of the F5DPOR bosch spark plugs to the S2.

I usually set the electrode gap to 0.7mm, but noticed the manufacturers recommendation for this plug to be 0.6mm.

Ive done a forum search but couldnt find a definitive answer, with some even saying its better to go for a larger 0.8mm setting.

Any advice gladly taken, i.e does a 0.6mm potentially give a stronger spark.

    Cheers,

    Brian

They do come pre gapped not like back inthe day when you had to adjust the gaps but it is still good practice to check them

      cheers raj

          I've never gapped them either.
I wouldn't want to touch the electrode on these plugs with anything myself, they are quite fine a diameter and it may do more harm than good.

Stock should be set to 0,6mm over 400PS must decrease to 0,45-0,5mm .....

              I run so...

              ....0,8 is too much .

Notice, more gap = more stress for the coils, sometimes overheating....

dont gap them. you may weaken the electrode.

reducing the gap imo is not the best. increase coil strength instead. the gap is there for a reason.
