ECU clicking, car juddering and stalling

Just pulled codes 1111 from the ECU which i understand from a search could be from a bad earth or the ecu is fubar

Thats more like bad supply, bad earth or bad ECU...

Could be a flaky connection somewhere. Nature of that isn't likely to damage another ECU, so maybe best to try another ECU and see what that does for you.

If problem points at ECU then I can have a look at it - fixed a few in my time - usually the odd dry joint or failed protection components.

For the time being does anyone know where the positive feeds (pin 18 +27) and earth feeds (pin 14 + 24) come from for the ecu

I would imagine one of the power feeds (pin 27) is from the ignition switch, pin 18 is a pernament feed so that would come from the wiring loom at the fusebox ?!?

Does it matter where the earth feeds go to ?

Steve Eiche of Shadetree Sofware has done a number of repairs to damaged 3B and AAN ECUs for us in the US...

If Paul is unsuccessful, you may want to consider trying Steve.

OTOH, it may also be cheaper to source a second hand ABY ECU...
