Does anyone know how many degrees retard can the motronic do to avoid detonation?

Also if it is 10degrees,how many hp is roughly calculated to?

When the ignition is retarded,does it have any appearance in boost pressure?

Finally,besides 'hearing' knock,Is a heavy ignition retardation 'felt'?I mean how many hp is lost during this situation?

My memory of this is that it can retard up to 6 degrees on knock detection... Very hard to take a swag at bhp losses for that.

If the ECU still detects knock after retarding the timing it can then reduce boost or turn electronic regulation off completely - dropping you back to WG pressure (0.4bar boost).

You will feel that retardation like hesitation and sluggishness under acceleration.

i went for a ride again today,and what i hear,in low revs in low gears must be some kind of rattling inside the dash rather than knock.My mechanic also excluded that this was knock,so i feel better now.
Under WOT i feel no hesitation and boost levels are OK.
