RS2 bearings

Hello!
1 question...
I have ordered 6 sets off 034 198 491C main bearings for RS2 and i have received only 4 sets...
After complaining they send the other 2 sets...but...inside the box i found diferent bearings noted as 034 591B... can you tell me from wich engine these are??
these were inside a box noted with corect nr. 034 198 491C...
please help!

You can't tell from that number as it is not a proper part number.

Having said that, do they look the same as the other bearings?

Was there no part number on the case they came in??

they came in same boxes as the first ones..with the right part number on...
So on the box was 034 198 491C....but the bearing inside were noted as 034 591 B...and they are different then the first ones i received wich are noted as 034 591 C..
the oiling chanal is smaller also at B ones...they are not for Rs2 for sure..
I hope they didint change the parts now...

from the left to right...the RS2 ones noted as 034 591C and the others received now noted as 034 591B..the diference is big..

I'm getting a little confused with the numbers here, as you seem to keep changing, in this thread there are now 4 different part numbers...
You ordered 6 sets of bearings from Audi, part number 034 198 491C (ending 491C)
Audi supplied 4 sets of the correct part, and you had to wait for the least 2 sets
They then supplied these bearings, printed on the box was the same (correct) part number as above, but inside the bearings had number 034 198 591B (ending 591B), is this correct?
From the picture, it does look very different and I would think you really need to get the exact same model of bearing.
If somebody in the know could confirm this iit would be good...
I assume Audi Romania are covering their incompetence by telling you the part number and design of the part has changed.....

Yes Chris...is corect..the bearing sent by them now is ending in B...the first ones were with C...I cant find this bearing in my Etos..

I hope they will not try to bul...t me with changing the design....is obvious that the bearings are diferent. or they dont know how to sell some **** stuff???

you are right!
first order was 6 sets 034 198 491C....i received 4 boxes with 034 198 491C on them..
inside the bearings are noted with 034 561 for the block one and 034 591C for the cap...these are ok..big oil canal so on..RS2 ones..
Now i ordered the rest off 2 sets and i received 2 boxes with 034 198 491C on them...but inside the boxes i found 034 561B for the block one and 034 591B for the cap...
the last ones i received are made by KS and the first ones are made by diferent company...dont know what to say...the KS ones are not the good ones...
they change supliers like this?

In process of rebuilding but 034198491C is "Dropped on 01/04/2015 without replacement"
Contacted my local VAG dealer and they confirmed the "dropout".
Found :
- Glyco : H981/6 STD
- KS (KolbenSchmidt) : 77209602
The block side is probably ok,
but,
the cap side on both looks as the 034 591B in the picture in post #5 above

Also chk'd Audi Tradition for 034198491C with no luck ...

Suggestions ?
