    Marco,

Where have you placed the probe for your EGT gauge, Before or after the turbo?

    Cheers, Mark.

      Mihnea, thanks for advice.
I, of course, wouldn't have given a 100% trust on the A/F meter reading if I was planning to make small refinements on the fuelling. At least not until having a full "spectrum" behaviour of it compared to a more accurate instrument.
At the moment, together with the EGT and the other on board meters, is just a way to check everything works fine and engine....isn't melting down .

      Mark,
I used the already existing threaded hole in the outlet flange of turbine. (ABY has a screw plug in it, 3B has a bent pipe protruding with a silicon cap on end). Here EGT should never raise above 820-830°C.
Best point where measuring EGT would have been just before inlet of turbine (and there 950°C is top temp. limit), but I didn't have the will to take off the turbo, drilling a hole in the header, welding a plug for the probe.

Nice job Marco!! Looks pretty slick.

Do you have manual windows on your car? I was looking for the switches on the center console and couldn't see any.

          Rich :eek2: ! Is that you, m8 ?

It's really a lot of time I don't hear anything from you.
          Nice having you back

          About windows switches....
I've never seen electrical windows switches in S2's center console, not even in the 2.0L coupè 20V nor in the crashed '91 S2 (3B engined) used for my early upgrade.
I always had windows switches in my "driver side" door panel, together with the electrical mirror's switches, including my actual '93 ABY.

Did I missunderstand your question or did Audi build different kinds of systems?

            Marco,

Yeh it's me. Glad you are still around. How are you?

You understood me right. The window switches on my S2 are on the center console. I always thought it was a crazy place to put them but I figured all the S2's had them there. Weird.

All the S2's i've seen have them on the drivers door too, along with the mirror controls.

Maybe someone had a "clever" idea and moved them in yours???

Rich, if your windows switches lay in the center console, what about your drivers door?

All the s2's i have seen are the same as Marco's (on other door!!)
What the hell does yours look like? What is on your dash and what is on your doors? Where is the mirror control?

                  You sure it's a real s2!!!! LOL

I'll go out with my camera and post some pics. I do know that my external temp gauge is not where anybody else's is. Maybe I own a coupe quattro and just think it is an S2
