    Throttle Pot Resistance Output

    Hi

My TPS is only showing 2430 ohms across pins 2 & 3 at the WOT position. I am pretty sure that I read somewhere it should be more than this, can anybody tell me if that is right?

Oh, and no I am not getting enough boost, but strangely there is no TPS related fault code

Does it sound like the TPS fooked?

    Cheers

Well, all I an say is that my S2 only had 1800 Ohms at those pins, which were too little.
Made a _world_ of difference changing the TPS, even though some say that they felt no difference changing the TPS.
      It is not cheep though

      Just my .02$

        Thanks Robin

I cut this tricky little fecker open and after stripping it down cleaned up the sliding contacts (tiny little brushes), there were no bad solder joints as described in that link.

After I got it back together it gave me 2440 ohms as opposed to 2430 ohms so not a big difference there. Looks like I will probably need a new one?

Well, don't give up just yet.
Even though the Ohms seems low, the Voltage is the essential here.
As I said, I had 1800 omhs at WOT but also had 4.5V at WOT which is too low.

          Check this URL for troubleshooting:
