    10v radiator in a 3B?

As part of my ongoing red coupe themed shenanigans (happy st paddy's day by the way) I have found myself with an almost new radiator in one of the 2.3 10v coupes.
Rob (Nuvo) has checked for me and the dimensions seem to be the same. Only major difference appears to be the 3B radiator header tank has an extra outlet for an aux radiator.
So since people often make the effort to remove the aux radiator entirely could I/should I take the aux radiator out completely, take out the manin rad and replace with the 10v one?

as ever, your wisdom (and sarcasm) are appreciated

Make sure it is as new as it looks and then get it in. A healthy main radiator doesn't need an aux to help it.

        .

        Nissens or Behr...

Behr is the one with plastic sides...better in the long run if new'ish.

            When...

you get the rad out, look along the corrugated edges where the plastic ends meet up with the core...

ANY distortion and the rad is on its way out.

            Hope that makes sense.

erm. i'm not 100% sure what you mean mate. plastic should be what.. the sides? top looks like metal, although I haven't looked that close to be honest.

Pals, I have to replace my main rad also (cracked on the top), the aux rad removed in last century... so I can install radiator from 10DV? Does anyone have part number to look for? S2 Dave?

                    Thnx

                      hey Tevarish,
there were two 10v models made. one had an auxiliary radiator and the other didn't. You should be ok to use either (obviously without the aux radiator if that's the kind of main radiator you use). I don't know the part number i'm afraid because i'm in finland just now and just about to head over to see my wife's family in Russia (Karelia region) in the next few minutes. If nobody els ecan help i'll try to contact someone to ask.
                      cheers

Sorry Olle, I don't have the p/n. It was sourced and fitted for me by MRC, but there's no p/n on the invoice. Cost £109.86 +VAT.

                            Astro,
