cheers i am new to all this what would you say is the best gauge and i asume all you do is conect it between the ecu boost pipe with a T conector i have a standard wastegate at the mo but i have a rs2 one to be fitted do these already have the uprated spring fittedTo be honest with you, most of us don't get to see if there is a dip between 120 and 140 clicks with only 280 horses as our private roads aren't long enough. I am assuming that there is a private runaway open for cars at the weekend in your neck of the Scottish woods?
A boost gauge really will tell you a lot, as you may see a sudden drop off which could be caused by several things, but the experts on here probably need more info. Do you see normal overboost behaviour? have you got a stock WG spring.
Back to your problem, what RPM are you at between 120 and 140 and does the car have the same problem in lower gears at the same RPM?
All the MTM cars I have seen on the rollers have fueling problems at high RPM, but I am not the fueling expert. Swap out the ECU back to a standard unit and run down your private test track again. Even though the car will be a bit slower, is it smoother? If so, your MTM software doesn't like some part of your hardware.
A final comment for you is that with a good exit on the last corner, I can knock on the door of 130 on the home straight at Castle Combe race track at the Audi Drivers International. I can therefore legitimately say that with a homefries chip, my car pulls smoothly past 120 with no hesitation, so what you are seeing is not normal.

The seller is talking out of his ****
The picture clearly shows the Audi and Bosch numbers (8A0 997 551 B and 0261203478) which mean it is a late ABY ecu with the immobiliser function. It is NOT an RS2 ecu so someone is gonna get burnt.
BTW I offered a fair few suggestions for areas to check in my earlier post.....any answers that might help the experts

P.S. Don't bling the engine bay, this is an Audi, not a Honda Civic

What he said ^ also if your planning a K27 then you'd be mad not to change the rods as they cant handle a lot of power and even less torque.
Scat Rods are pretty low budget but supposed to be good for a lot of power, so might be worth investigating that..
The pistons should be fine for 500 BHP so no trouble there..91 S2 coupé - RIP

fuel pump as well.
Defo on the rods as there is a couple of threads on here saying about them bending.
Also what engine is in the car now a 3b or aby? if its old enough you could de-cat the exhaust.
Just remember with the tubular an rs2 airbox I doubt would fit.Comment

ABY and RS2 throttle bodies are the same part number. 3B one is a diff part number but I don't know what the differences are.95 ABY S2 Coupe - Ragusa Green

Nope - that part number is RS2 non-immo ECU. The give away is the 8A0 prefix. The ABY ECUs start with 895 !

You need to use a spacer with the 3b throttle body to clear round the top, or just get a rs2 plastic inlet pipe which joins onto the throttle body. The inlet manifold also needs modding if being fitted to a 3b to clear the dizzy.
