    Block marks

After spending what seems forever I eventually got my 3 B block and 6 speed fitted. I then turned the engine over to put some more oil on bores and noticed some marks on No1 bore that were not there a week earlier and can only assume the heavy rain and damp got to this cylinder whilst it was in the trailor. I cannot feel any roughness or the marks with my finger and hope once engine is up and running it will sort itself out. Any opinions? Block still showing little signs of wear and looking closely can still see honing marks. Was not intending to do a rebore for some time yet?!

        marks

If that was the case the marks would have been there 6 months ago when I first removed the head and would be able to feel the deposit, if thats what it is. This feels and looks as though its a mark under a transparent layer of something which it obviously can't be but thats what it feels /looks like, weird. Am hoping it might sort itself out after a few miles of running. Has anyone had this happen to them?

bad injektor( bad earth wire) or / and low pressure from the pump. bad coilfunk. or bad ingitionswitch... or only bad battery/ genrator..low volt from the genretor
low volt means lower than 14,4volt on fullcharged battery, WITH lights, and heaterfan goin- with 2000rpm
if you have leaned out the petrol, the piston will melt down ,may in the ringland
read, if your volt are too low,the pump cant give the petrol required.

            another pic

Another pic from further away. No signs of pitting or anything so is there an issue if I run it like this until I can afford a rebore after October next year?! Better than just sitting in the garage not moving for 18 months?!

              .

What are the other bores like...really not seen ought like it before.

Might be worth dropping that piston to check the piston skirt and rings.

                  bores

Other bores are perfect. Pistons only have no 'soot' as I have cleaned the top sections up a bit whilst removing the gasket material with some 3M abrasive padding. The pistons did look the same as the 7A engine I removed recently and which I know was running at 13;1 AFR at full throttle.

So, then Mr. caterpillar is right. This cylinder went lean. You can allways try to run for year or so. Oil consumption and power loss slightly will appear. But you need to sort out injection.
