crank pulley bolt - which thread

Hi all. This might seem a bit of a daft question but can anybody advise me as to which thread (left or right) the crank pulley bolt has? I’m trying to undo mine and am concerned as to how much force I seem to be using - cheers

normal right hand thread.... bolts done up to 350nm mind so you need a good 6foot bar to get it undone..

450 Nm is right tightening torque with normal tools.

can be done up 200NM + 180 degrees, ask Paul <edited with correct value>

However it can take up to 800NM to crack them undone.

            3/4 socket set needed

            cheers

i swear me and my mate lift the front of my CQ off the ground doing mine

Seriously though, if the job was done properly last time, there should be threadlock involved as well as mega torque As these guys said, get a 3/4" drive breaker bar and a bit of scaffold pole.
Wise to replace the crank sprocket to be on the safe side, i've seen a broken woodruff key both times i've done the job

Will air tools get the bolt off? Or is there any other method?

Have to go hunting now for a 3/4 breaker bar now!
