    removing RS2 engine loom

Does anyone have any experience of removing an RS2 engine loom. IIRC the ecu is in the pass footwell so that would be where the loom runs to in the cabin. Assume there are a couple of wires to the fusebox too?

Does the loom have to be cut to remove it from the car?

    Please dont cut it!

You will need to take the dash out to remove it, also helps to have a clear run at it in the engine bay also.

DOuble up on that sentiment - do NOT cut it out...

Follow the loom out thru the bulkhead and onto the fusebox - take your time.

I have done it without dash out.
The engine loom ( the part before the two big plugs)needs feeding back into the car, painfull job and takes a good few hours.
Yes a few wires go to the fuse box, stick your phone under before removing anything, take plenty of shots, saves hours working out what goes where.
It was ages ago when I did mine, I will have to scan the grey matter!

If it helps, I have a spare ABY loom that is identical - I labelled all the connectors on that one when I had the schematics in front of me. It would be a hard old job with the dash fitted.

                Sorry Paul, I misunderstood.

I may well take you up on that offer. Cheers.
