    Water pump gasket

    Why does the RS2 have 2 different rubber orings specified for it? one is a 98 x 4mm and the other is 98 X 5mm ?

    Someone, I think Martyn, said it leaks if you reuse the original one?

    I also wanted to know if the RS2 has less teeth so it pumps water faster?

      They do 1mm oversize o rings for most VAG waterpumps. I don't know why they are available. The ones supplied with waterpumps are the 4mm versions.

          If it was me, id run with the original size, as i can see no reason why they should produce an o ring 1mm oversize..... nothing expands that much on a car engine surely....
          Was a '93 3B, Dont ask now tho......
