    Any info on this turbo?

I'd like to find out a bit more about it, it was sold to my mate as a hybrid turbo and is huge so reckon it will have quite a bit of lag, but looks ok with nothing looking out of the ordinary.

Cheers for the info, he got it for a good price £150 shipped, which hopefully it will do what he needs, I just wanted to check the top power he can get out of it to see if its anything I need to worry about

It seems like a cheap made Turbo from a not known manufacturer.

I wonder if it's MHI turbo, why in the world it has T04b on the label? From what I recall, T04b is quite old turbo cold side, somewhat from K26 times... It is available in three trims, interesting which one it is.

And the hot side is HUGE. Looks like some truck or tractor turbo, not the evolution one. IMHO - only for drag racing.

Well the guy who got it won it from an auction on ebay iirc for £150 and its apparantly a hybrid tho I'm not sure on that.

It weighs quite a bit and is large but it will be interesting to see what happens as he's planning on putting it on a 4 cylinder 8v volvo and NOT doing any internal work to the engine, he said he wants to run it see what breaks and then fix that.

cold side, from the info is a 16g the hot side looks huge though, could be the angle. DSM guys make 375ish on the stock 16g, that one will be quite laggy. Also looks like its a cheap replica.

This is a shot to show its new home and to show the size of it. The innards did not look to bad and there was no play in the shaft etc.

He reckons it should be done and running for the ring trip in october lol so that should be a good test.

The cars stripped out atm with some carbon buckets in etc.

Make a search in Google for "XS Power Turbocharger" opinion or something like it. There was a picture in a honda forum, i think, with a splitted compressor housing.
